TASK Interior Styling is a Johannesburg-based, boutique interior firm, dedicated to creating tailored spaces through innovative style choices.
We pride ourselves in designing spaces that have an intimate connection to our clients. Our focus moves beyond aesthetics; it is equally important to us that our clients feel good when occupying a space. We are able to achieve this balance through inspired curation: a powerful combination of our unique style input, selected décor pieces and strategic brand partnerships.

We offer design concepts and detailed solutions for both residential and commercial clients. Whether it is a new built, renovation or cosmetic upgrade we collaborate with clients to meet their functional and aesthetic vision.

The TIS Approach

We are fully cognizant of the realities of design projects and we strive to bridge the gap between a project's full potential and the boundaries imposed by these realities of life. It is our belief that great design is efficient and effective, functional yet aesthetic. To us, great design is the sweet spot where synergy between designer, client and the space coalesce. With this in mind, a personalized approach means getting to know both the values of our client as well as the potential of the space and shaping a design marriage that pleases both.

Our process focuses on getting to know the intricacies of the brand personality. Likened to making a new friend, we are able to ensure that our spaces reflect individual style, special traits and familiar quirks that make any space ‘feel like home.’ We rely on our professional knowledge and experience in the design and styling space as well as our relationships with trusted expert partners, to guide our clients through a phased approach for each project – from creative concept to technical design, space construction, interior remodelling and decor finishing. In addition, we have a dedicated after-sales service available, focused on maintaining the client relationship and offering customer support beyond the point of project delivery.

MALI LANGA

FOUNDER & EXECUTIVE CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Mali Langa is an award-winning, dynamic and enigmatic businesswoman. She hails from the beautiful Limpopo province in South Africa and in all facets of life, is a true African woman at heart. Mali is a shareholder and director of Mwelase Mining (Pty) Ltd (“Mwelase Mining”). Mwelase Mining is a 100% black owned junior mining company. Furthermore Mali is a director of Mwelase Group of Companies (Pty) Ltd which owns, controls and managers a number of coal mines. Mali further has interests in coal logistics companies.

Mali has a professional background in business management, logistics and insurance. She has earned hands-on experience in a wide range of business areas both at an executive level and in an entrepreneurial capacity.

EXPERIENCE
With a keen nature for continuous professional development, Mali has founded multiple commercial ventures across diverse industries, her latest involvement being the establishment of Task Interior Styling. The boutique interior décor and design studio was started in 2016 and within three years, has reached award-winning status with Mali at the helm.

EDUCATION
Mali recently completed a Bachelor of Business Administration through Regenesys Business School. She also has a Certificate in Applied Logistics and Supply Chain Management from Wits Plus and completed the Women in Leadership Programme with Wits Business School.

PHILANTHROPY
Mali has dedicated a significant amount of time and resources to philanthropic initiatives that foster creativity in design and education, particularly for young African women. Mali’s commitment to giving back remains a key priority through the establishment of The Mali Langa Children’s Foundation which plans to grow efforts in the areas of education and social development for young and promising individuals across Africa. 

FELICITY MOLOKOMME

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Felicity is a multifaceted Business Development Manager with eleven years interior design industry experience.

Her daily objective is to facilitate business growth and consolidate TASK Interior Styling’s position in the market. Leading this position with a vision that is synonymous with timeless style, integrity, brand exclusivity and elegance. Her management role involves developing new collaborative partnerships, maintaining client relations and identifying ways to build brand awareness. She acts as the primary interface with clients, team members, and collaborators. Felicity effortlessly combines enthusiasm, product knowledge and good customer service. 

KEVIN DU PLESSIS

MEDIA & MARKETING, GRAPHIC DESIGN, ADMIN

Kevin has an undergraduate degree in Language & Literature Studies and an Honours Degree in English from the North-West University. He also completed a short course in Project Management with distinction at the North-West University Business School.

He has worked as an educational interpreter, editor-in-chief of a community newspaper, an assistant curator & marketing manager at a prominent art gallery, a studio and visual artist manager, marketer & graphic designer in the events industry, and art director, online editor, and contributor at a national lifestyle magazine. Kevin also has a long history of freelance graphic design work and is a practicing visual artist and award-winning photographer. 

STEFANO PANICCO

PROJECT MANAGER

Stefano is a Project Manager with over 15 years’ experience in the construction and design industry.

He has qualifications in Project Management and CAD design. He has over 35 successfully completed projects in sectors ranging from residential to hospitality to corporate fit outs.
With an eye for detail and an understanding of the technical aspects, he is perfectly positioned to bring a project from concept to reality. Stefano is a strong leader who excels at working with people and has excellent communication skills. Costings and Bill of Quantity compilation are two more integral skills Stefano possesses that make him an extremely successful Project Manager. He also has a large network of suppliers and professional contacts in the industry. 

NELIA GEORGIEVA

INTERIOR DESIGN SPECIALIST

Nelia got her start in the interiors field when she received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design.

She also recently received an award for Top Student when she graduated with a national diploma in Architectural Technology. She takes inspiration from local materials, cultures, and landscapes and strives to use local artists whenever possible to reinforce her concepts. Nelia has worked on many residential homes as well as a few office spaces and spas.
She is skilled in a turnkey design process, starting with initial design concepts, moving into schematic design, detailing through design development, and finalising elements in construction documentation. 

HOLLY PICKER

INTERIOR DESIGN SPECIALIST

Holly grew up in a design-centric home, where her passion for interior design was identified from an early age. She recently completed her studies at Vega School of Art and Business, where she did her Bachelors in Interior Design.

A new member of the TASK Interior Styling team, Holly shows much potential and is eager to grow alongside the brand.
Holly’s design style is highly conceptual and adaptive according to the brief. Her work is bold, aesthetically pleasing, with a strong focus on the creation of functional spaces. Her strengths include residential, retail and corporate design. 

GENALDO FRANK

INTERIOR DESIGN SPECIALIST

Genaldo is an Architectural designer with over 7 years experience in the architectural field and in sales as a visual merchandiser. After completing his studies in Bachelor of Architectural Studies and obtaining a degree at the university of the Witwatersrand, Genaldo has since been building his portfolio with a wide variety of design approaches. He specialises In architectural visual rendering and advanced animation with a strong sense of technical and detailing as well.

He has a strong work ethic and approaches projects with a willing mind-set, a healthy dose of creativity and an academic outlook. 

THABO THOBE

HR ADMINISTRATION

Thabo is a qualified Human Resources Administrator and has received numerous awards including being a top student at Rosebank College. He has extensive knowledge of South African Labour Law legislations and over 10 years experience in office administration. He has worked in the hospitality industry with one of the largest hotel companies in SA as a sales consultant and was later promoted to Office Administrator.

He has also worked in the telecommunications industry as a training administrator, assisting in the HR department.
Thabo now uses his excellent communication and customer relations skills as part of the TIS team fulfilling various administration and HR related roles.
